Ray-Ban Maker's Q3: Smart Glasses +20%, Kids' Myopia Lenses +24%

Smart glasses are now a fifth of the growth story at the world's biggest eyewear company.

The glasses got smarter — and the numbers just landed.

EssilorLuxottica, the company behind Ray-Ban and Oakley, reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of €7,486 million on October 20 — up 9.0% year on year (+7.2% at constant currency). Two lines in the release matter more than the headline number.

First: wearables. Revenue from AI glasses and Nuance Audio rose 20% in the quarter. Smart glasses are no longer a press-release category; they're a fifth of the growth story at the world's biggest eyewear company, heading into a holiday season the company itself says will bring new AI-glasses launches.

Second: kids' eyes. The myopia-management portfolio grew 24% in both the quarter and the first nine months of the year. And the company noted that Stellest — the myopia-control lens our Lens Lab has covered in depth — was named by TIME among its Best Inventions of the Year. That's a children's lens, sitting on the same list as the year's headline gadgets.

The through-line for readers: the two forces reshaping what goes on your face are a camera-and-AI race at the adult end, and a genuine medical advance at the kids' end. One gets the keynote stages. The other might matter more.
